hey guys,
Forgive me if I am missing something obvious, but how do I setup email alerts for tasks due at a specific time/date?
surely this feature is not missing?
cheers

Tom,
I think we do not have this feature at Nozbe.
There are some virtual secretary services at MSN messenger etc. These bots can take care of your email alerts. It would be great to have such service here at Nozbe. This could be done with the "share" option.
Another idea for an enhancement: Interface with Amazon's Mechanic Turk. Just a rough idea.

Yeah virtual assistant would be good but even a simple mail alert could be converted to an sms or IM via some online tools...
Seems like quite a key feature to me.
Guss I could use the calender, sync with MS Outlook and then I will get calendar alerts

That's probably a matter of usage pattern.
For me, Nozbe (or any other online gtd tool) is a service which I am to visit at least once a day (more often a few times a day). I am more likely to save in Nozbe a note that I should send email, than otherwise.
Having said all that: Nozbe offers personalized RSS feed (feed icon above actions). Nowadays you can put RSS feeds in most mailers and they are displayed similarly to email. Maybe you could give it a try?
Note: don't confuse your personal feed with nozbe blog feed.

Mekk,
thanks I hadn't thought of using the RSS.
What I am really looking for is my phone/desktop to beep at a specific time to remind me to do something, e.g. make a phonecall at 3pm, take my vitamins..
I'd rather not fill me calendar with such small tasks (particularly as it is shared at work)
cheers

SMS and email reminders are considered for the future, too, just not now as we're busy with the iPhone app and new UI.
