I tried to send an email to my nozbe but it was rejected.

Looks good Michael. I've sent several items (tasks and notes) and it is working great.
I'm really enjoying Nozbe.
Thanks,
Joel

I emailed a task to my nozbe, per your blog instructions, but nothing happened on Nozbe. I've refreshed the pages several times, and the new task is neither in the indicated project, nor in the Inbox.

Same results as sunflower, emails appear in my "sent items" but are not are showing up in my Nozbe account.

I consistently get the following error (suitably sanitized) ...

<USERNAME.NNNN@nozbe.com>

First of all, it's @box.nozbe.com, not @nozbe.com
It's important that it's a BOX.nozbe.com domain.
Second, it's important to add * (asterisk) before an action:
* my task correctly written
* my second task
Just like that. Please try now.

I do send with box in the email address, but apparently it's being removed somewhere along the path. I'm sending from GMail. Anyone else have this experience?

Doesn't work here. Tried yesterday and again this morning (thinking there might be a little time before my settings took effect).
I have double checked the username and pin combination. Is it case sensitive?
Emailing from Outlook 2007:
This is the mail delivery agent at messagelabs.com.
I was not able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
<AAAAA.BBBBB@box.nozbe.com>:
207.58.151.91 does not like recipient.

It worked just now -- with the asterisks.
New tasks show up in my Inbox in Nozbe
BUT -- NOT in iNozbe in Google UPDATE: showed up in iNozbe after a page reload.

OK, I finally got it working!
For those who want to know, it works from normal GMail. But I also have "Gmail for your domain". When I send mail from that account, the "box." gets stripped from the address and it fails.
So, if I just always send from the normal Gmail, it works!
For those who have gmail, here's a URL you can bookmark that will automatically create an email, prepopulated with the proper address and format. Just add your own USERNAME and PIN. (NOTE: the URL is deliberately mangled to get around spam protection. Should be easy to demangle.)
http: SLASH SLASH mail.google.com/mail/?view=cm&fs=1&tearoff=1&su=tasks&body=*+your+task+here+(N)&to=New+Home+Task+%3CUSERNAME.PIN@box.nozbe.com%3E#compose
This is just my hack, and may not work for all versions of gmail.

I've tried today several times and also get the same No Such User message. I send out with USERNAME.NNN@box.nozbe.com and the reply comes back with the "box." stripped out ie "USERNAME.NNN@nozbe.com" no such user. I've tried to send messages from my office Lotus Notes email gateway system and also from my mac.com internet email account but both have come back with the same delivery failure messages.
Can anyone help solve this problem?
Thanks,
Shanghai David

Please try to do the same but instead of the domain "box.nozbe.com" try the alternate domain "nozbe.us" - it should do the trick. Please let me know if it worked for you.

Confirming that user.pin@nozbe.us worked ok to add notes to the default project

One of my projects is named something like "abc (xyz)". When I tried to email directly to this project, both outlook and gmail rejected the email address because it's got a "(" in it. I tried to replace it with "_" but the tasks didn't show up. Please help.

True, there is a problem with "(" signs... We'll see if this can be corrected in some way... but try not to use this sign with projects if you can... but we'll try to fix it anyway.

This is working great for me, and is one of the best features of Nozbe, being able to send a quick note, or task via email, since most of my GTD inbox is my email inbox. Just a matter of forwarding a message if it appears to be actionable. One thing I learned quickly is to keep my unclassified context and Inbox project at the top of their lists. That way you don't have to specify anything in the email address other than your short name and PIN. Then I can move it from the inbox on my next review, a great time saver. John

Hi. I'm writing a macro in Outlook to automate sending a phone call task from a contact record to Nozbe. It works on the Outlook end. Because of the default phone display, the email I send to Nozbe looks like this:
* Kevin McNamara W - (780) 961-4020 M - (415) 731-4200
The task I get in Nozbe looks like:
Kevin McNamara W - (780) (415)
Apparently, it has something to do the with parentheses. Before I rewrite the code in Outlook to strip the parentheses, is there any other way to keep the full phone number intact?
So far, I'm really enjoying Nozbe and I want to make it as productive as possible for me.

I've read all of these blogs, and I am trying to send tasks to username.pin@nozbe.us, and yet nothing shows up on any project list. I've tried repeatedly, but still, nothing shows up. Any advice?
